BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, perform a variety of clerical duties in
support of student health functions; maintain various student health records and files; conduct
and assist with coordinating and arranging student health screenings.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of student health functions; type, file, duplicate
and distribute materials; distribute, collect and process various health-related forms and
applications; prepare and disseminate routine correspondence and informational materials.
Compile, assemble, verify and request a variety of student health, screening and related data and
information; prepare and maintain a variety of records, lists, reports and files related to students,
health information, screenings, immunizations, inventory and assigned activities.
Review records to assure immunization, physical exam and health screening data is current;
notify parents and schools of needed immunizations, tests and screenings; prepare and distribute
student health referrals and related correspondence to schools and parents as appropriate.
Compile and verify a variety of data and information; compute statistical information for various
reports; process and evaluate a variety of forms, applications and documents; duplicate, assemble,
distribute, collect, verify and assure accuracy and completeness of various documents
Conduct and assist with coordinating and arranging vision, hearing, and other screenings as
directed; arrange for screening staff; compile, assemble, prepare and distribute related schedules
and student and school information, correspondence and materials; reserve facilities for
screenings.
Initiate and receive telephone calls; contact parents to follow up on screenings and request
documents and student information; confer with faculty, staff, medical personnel and outside
agencies concerning student health and related issues and concerns.
Input a variety of immunization, screening, student health and other data and information into
an assigned computer system; maintain automated records and files; generate computerized lists
and reports as requested.

Submit various reporting required to the state or regulatory governmental agencies.
Operate a variety of office equipment including a copier, fax machine, computer and assigned
software; drive a vehicle to conduct work.
Monitorinventory levels of various medicalsupplies; assist with ordering,receiving, distributing
and maintaining adequate inventory levels of supplies; prepare purchase orders as directed.
Provide training, coordination and tracking CPR for those TCSOS employees required to be
certified.
Attend and participate in various meetings as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and four years of clerical or health
office experience. CPR instructor certification or willing to obtain certification.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California driver's license.
