Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple active litigation matters in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Sonora, CA. While on-site work is required, we are understanding and flexible with family needs and scheduling conflicts.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and finalize legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
Prepare, organize, and manage evidence and exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Conduct legal research and assist in case analysis using Westlaw and other resources.
Manage case files and ensure compliance with all court rules, deadlines, and filing procedures.
Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, client meetings, and witness interviews.
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain accurate case management records and billing entries in TimeSlips.
Provide direct support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm setting (required).
Strong legal writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with case management and e-filing systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Westlaw, MyCase, and TimeSlips preferred.
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved institution preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
