Role Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, safety, reliability, and improvement of Deloro Valley's buildings, grounds, and infrastructure to support guest experience and event operations. This role is hands-on and includes preventative maintenance, renovation/project support, vendor coordination, and team leadership.
The Facilities Manager also serves as the primary point of contact for facilities-related emergencies during assigned on-call periods and key events (coverage can be arranged with approval, but must be confirmed and reliable).
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Preventative Maintenance
--Routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs across buildings, cabins/lodges, utilities, HVAC coordination, plumbing, electrical coordination, water systems, roads/paths, lighting, and grounds
--Preventative maintenance plans, checklists, seasonal readiness planning
--Safety practices and incident documentation
Renovations, Improvements, and Capital Projects
--Support renovations and improvements, including hands-on work where qualified (carpentry/repairs/build-outs), contractor coordination, materials staging, site prep, quality control
--Maintain project documentation (scope notes, photos, timelines, change requests) and communicate progress/blockers
Event Readiness & Emergency Response
--Pre-event readiness checks, rapid-response troubleshooting during events, post-event reset support
--Primary facilities emergency point-of-contact during assigned on-call periods
--Vendor Management & Procurement
--Coordinate trades/vendors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, septic, fire/life/safety, pest, etc.)
--Track tools/supplies; request purchases within approval limits
Team Leadership
--Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance documentation, and separations consistent with policy and applicable law
--Build systems for accountability and employee recognition with management
Technology & Systems
--Use tech tools for efficiency: maintenance logs, checklists, photo documentation, vendor tracking, inventory tracking, scheduling tools
--Maintain timely written communication and organized records
Schedule / Physical Requirements
--Full-time, generally ~40 hours/week; schedule varies based on event calendar and seasonality
--Flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends and peak periods
--Hands-on work outdoors in varying conditions; ability to bend/stoop and lift up to 75 lbs
--Accurate timekeeping required for all hours worked, including call-backs
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
We also conduct a 90-day performance review with potential adjustment based on role readiness and performance.

Qualifications
Required
--Facilities/maintenance experience with increasing responsibility
--Strong repair skills and ability to coordinate building systems and vendors
--Calm, reliable communication and follow-through
--Valid driver's license
Preferred
--Renovation/construction project support experience
--Work order/inventory tracking experience
--Safety training/certifications
