Welding Shop Foreman

We are looking for an experienced Welding Shop Foreman to lead our welding shop and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, leadership experience, and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and welding plans. The right candidate will be someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and can keep a busy welding shop organized and productive.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of welding experience with prior supervisory or
foreman experience
• Strong hands-on welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to read and interpret design and fabrication drawings
• Ability to measure accurately and understand dimensions,
materials and specifications
• Strong understanding of welding procedures, fabrication, and shop safety
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be reliable and organized and able to take ownership of shop operations
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate daily welding shop activities
• Assign work and oversee welders and shop personnel
• Review plans, drawings, and job specifications
• Ensure work is fabricated and welded according to plans and specifications
• Enforce shop safety rules and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Coordinate materials and equipment needed for projects
• Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues
• Communicate project progress and concerns to management
• Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
